Update!

Okay, I finally figured out the new post, haha, I'm so bad at this!

So much has happened since my last post! The most exciting was that I saw my first camel and got to see Smash Mouth! They were really entertaining, he mentioned he could go for a beer and someone handed him an O'Douls, so he pounded down some O'Douls during the show, haha!

There was even a baby camel! So cuuuute!

I've been working a lot lately, which makes the time fly by so it's okay! Today was my day off and I am loving it! I found the massage chair at the clinic, life saver!! My back has been killing me this week, sitting at the computer for waaaay too long! I also went for a run and got a lot of laundry and cleaning done!

I'll attempt to upload some pictures now! No promises though...

Today was the best day yet, I think I'm just getting more confident and don't feel like an idiot wandering through the chow hall!! I went to a local breakfast this morning that I thought was pretty cool. There were only about 50 people there. Old Lisa and Hauer would have starved! Luckily I was able to find some food I liked! They even had pop available for breakfast! I also ran outside for the first time, it felt great! Then I made my first friend :) Or had a nice conversation with someone who wasn't forced to talk to me for work reasons!

Sand storm

I survived my first sand storm today!! I was at work during daylight hours but I'll try to snap a pic if it's still raging tomorrow! It's just like a blizzard, only with sand! You can smell it in the air, even inside and you can always feel the grit in your mouth, hair, etc. I just put my head down and pull my hat down tight, the people who have been here awhile have bandanas.

The local version of mountain dew is what I look forward to each day! It's hard to keep track of the days and I really miss everyone back home! It's amazing how small the Air Force is, I've already ran into a guy I used to work with at Offutt and I know two other girls here. Also met a guy who is friends w/ my good friend Dave, small world!

They're pretty sensitive of what people take pictures of , so I might not have a ton of pics to post. The two pictures above are of my room. I had a roommate at first but fortunately she moved out and now I have my own room. It's pretty plain except for the pink comforter, oh and I brought 'sleep sheet' from Espana with me!

The last pic is of Lynch and I before I left Norfolk, it was my last lunch in America!!

It's thundering out right now, crazy!! I can't see anything though since all of the windows are covered up.
